The thing I liked about this movie was it was about reality. In this movie ken carter(Samuel Jackson)was the main character. He went to a high school in the ghetto and when he got older he coached their. His son Damien carter(Robert Ri'cahrd)went to the the best high school in the district.

When ken carter took the job at Richmond high school he realized that he had a lot of player messing up in school. His job was to coach but he wanted these kids to exceed out of the ghetto and go to collage. He did that by making the players study instead of play b-ball he made them study. Know body wanted him to close the gym but he did and people got mad because of it. But he didn't care what they thought and he continued what he did.

On the basket ball team their was a player named Junior Battle. He was a really good player and he was struggling in school and in his life. He had a girlfriend Kara(Ashanti) and they were in love and they were in love. She ended up getting pregnant and that almost caused him not to go to collage. He was smarter then the rest of the players because he wanted to further his education past high school but he didn’t have the resources to do it. Well at least until ken carter came and coached him through his basket ball high school career.

In this paragraph I will talk about team unity. After the lock out that coach carter organized ended he thought the players would give up on their studies and go back to messing up in school. But they didn’t give up on their studies and started to do better. Coach carter made his players realize how important school was and showed them that they could succeed in school. Also he showed the players that they are STUDENT affiliates and not affiliate students.

This is my conclusion and I feel that the movie was good but the message was even better. The message was stating that anyone can make it if the try. Weather the are black, white, or whatever they may be. All you have to do is apply your self and you can make changes in the world. That is why i feel that this was the best message ever put into a movie.

VIOLANCE IN VIDEO GAMES

I feel that the violence in video game has effect on children but not as much as every one says. Video games are meant to simulate reality and yes some are bad but you can’t blame the video games for the bad things kids do. When a child does a bad thing that he or she seen on a video game. The blame should be put on the parents. It should be on the parent because it is their fault for not expressing the fact to the child that it is not right to do something because they seen it in the media or on a video game. There is a video game series out called Grand theft auto. The game is about killing stealing drinking and prostitution. The parents need to express to the kids that is a bad thing to do. And that if the kid is not mature enough the parents shouldn’t let them play it. When a kid shoots someone and say he or she did it because they seen it on a video game. The video game company usually gets sewed. The thing that I question is where did the kid get the gun to do it. Most of the time the kid got it out of his or her parents room and for that I blame the adult. Same when a kid drinks alcohol and the kid say he did it because he seen it on a video game. Where did he get the alcohol more and likely he got it out of their parents liquor collection. The point that I am trying to get across here is that yes there is violence in video games. But that is the real world and how it is now a days but the adult figure needs the make sure that the kid knows violence is bad so the child won’t do bad things.

The other day I was at a basket ball game and their was a kid about 9 years old. He was walking down a hall way and some money fell out of his pocket. When he sat on the bench I walk by and put it in his bag. And that is the good dead I did.

Hello my name is Chris Chalk and I am 15 years old. My whole life is sports and school. I have been playing sports since I was like 5 and now i play for my high school. I am a very cocky and I seriously don't like to lose. But i hardly ever lose so i don't get mad a lot. I also like to play video games. Any sports game that has ever came out i am the best at. I wouldn't say that I am addicted but i do play a lot like with friends and stuff like that. My favorite subjects in school are English and gym. But I mean who don't like gym so i guess it don't count. I like English because i can write good and i like the teacher so that helps too. I want to take up boxing pretty soon and it seems fun so I will try it. My favorite boxer has to be mike Tyson because he was a good boxer and also the best ever. The is 1 place that I will always want to visit and that France. I want to go their because I want to se a different culture and I can speak a little French so I want to see how I will communicate over their. My dream is to play a professional sport when I am old enough. I want to either play in the MLB,NFL or the NBA. I will try to make it but we will see how far I can really go.
